Program Name: Facial Specialty
Post Secondary Number: CSP0265   Program: 260 hours

Entry: twice a year
State licensure

The purpose of this program is to prepare a person for employment as a licensed Facial Specialist.This course is designed to qualify students for employment upon successfully completing all the competencies, hours and theory required to obtain a certificate of completion for Facial Specialty and to obtain a registration from the State Board of Cosmetology.

The program is a planned sequence of instruction. We will begin with the Core of Cosmetology. This content includes, but is not limited to, communication skills, leadership skills, human relations skills and employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, Florida cosmetology law and rules, related chemistry, bacteriology, anatomy and physiology. The acquisition of knowledge of the skills to perform manipulative & electrical techniques for massage and facial treatments, hair removal, eyelash and brow tinting  and the art of makeup to become a Facial Specialist.

  Occupational Completion Points/Career Path

This program is a planned sequence of instruction and has one occupational completion points. Length of program varies with accomplishments of requirements and attendance. (Based on a  4 day 7 ½ hour day)
