Job Summary

Read blueprint plans adherence to safety rules delivery of schedule. Construction of docks, decks, bulkheads, concrete form work, seawall caps, and other construction scopes of work up to and including but not limited to. Maintain professional decorum with client base at all times, reflecting a positive company image of Calusa Builders Inc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Use assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety equipment (hardhats, ear& eyewear protection, gloves, life safety vests etc.) for the job. Ensure these items are in use and com

Observe safety operation of water vessels/boats,

Proficient use of essential tools, raw materials, fasteners, and equipment to perform jobs.
Anticipate job needs, secure or arrange for delivery of needed materials to the job site in timely manner from office warehouse or retail outlet as needed.

Assist in weekly trailer inventory as needed

Follow from crew Supervisor/leader and follow safety regulations.

Work Environment

Workers are subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. Tasks may risk exposure to extreme temperatures heat, humidity, frequently submerged in the waters of natural waterways that can be cold/hot.

Requirements for the job

Must be able to pass a drug test which may include a toxicological test for alcohol. and background check, to include ongoing random drug test as deemed appropriate.

Ability to communicate and report effectively

Problem-solving abilities as they arise

Reliable attendance, able to work overtime if required

Must have own tools and reliable transportation.

Must be able to swim, will be submerged in water within natural waterways, rivers, creeks etc.
Ability to balance, reach, lift, pull, push, climb, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, stand, sit, walk, and engage in repetitive movement.

Follow proper procedures for these activities.

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 25lbs. Safe lifting over 30lbs. require two people.

Minimum education and work requirement

High school diploma, GED, or trade school Certification (provide copy of diploma, certification or transcript)
Minimum two years in the construction industry
Ability to read plans, drawings, and blueprints. Able to use measuring tools with accuracy. Includes tape measure, level, speed square, plumb bob, etc.
A valid Florida Driver’s license with clean driving record. Proof of identity and legal authorization to work. And possess the ability to operate a water vessel, prior experience a plus.
