First Coast Technical College welcomes Jeanne Dopson to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Dopson replaces Sandra Raburn, who was recently appointed FCTC President.
Raburn stated, “FCTC desired a CFO who understands how the defending of student interests is linked to protecting the financial standing of the College. Federal and state financial aid can be tricky to administrate; however, when done correctly it’s a tremendous benefit to our students.”
Dopson, a University of Florida graduate, is a licensed CPA. She has practiced public accounting for 14 years, with expertise in non-profit and governmental organizations.
Dopson feels her new job is a natural fit, and affirmed, “As a former auditor of FCTC, I knew the College has maintained high standards of financial accountability with multiple streams of funding from local, state and federal sources. As CFO, my objective is to continue stringent financial oversight to ensure our students achieve their career goals and thereby facilitate the attainment of FCTC’s goals.”
