The course includes, but is not limited to, leadership, communication skills, human relations and employability skills, and safe & efficient work practices.
Students must complete the core or demonstrate the mastery of skill standards contained in the core before advancing to any of the intermediate or advanced courses. These skills will be learned by participating in the running of a nursery, growing crops for sale, setting up and running books for the nursery, growing vegetable gardens, landscaping, propagation, field trips to local nurseries, and labs.
