Earn or Recover High School Credits

The High School Course Recovery program is for current High School students to simultaneously retake high school courses at FCTC while still enrolled in their high school program.

  • Students that are at risk of not graduating their 9th grade cohort may enroll in the co-enrollment program
  • Co-enrolled students entering an adult high school program can only complete two core curricular courses per year
  • Student enrollment is limited to core curricula courses for credit recovery or dropout prevention
  • Students can not have a pattern of excessive absenteeism or habitual truancy, or a history of disruptive behavior
  • Students enrolled in the co-enrollment program are exempt from the payment of the block tuition for adult education programs

To Enroll:

  • The High School Guidance Counselor must submit a Credit Recovery Enrollment form to FCTC’s Adult General Education (AGE) department
    • When the school counselor signs this form, they are certifying:
      • The course(s) the student is required to take
      • The applicant does not have a pattern of excessive absenteeism, habitual truancy, or a history of disruptive behavior
    • The form must also be signed by the student and parent

FCTC’s Adult General Education Department will reach out to the parent to begin the enrollment process after the form has been received.
