Plant Nursery Technician
Job Function:
The Plant Nursery Attendant position assists in the upkeep of the inventory, fulfillment of customer orders and the maintenance of the nursery with the upmost customer service and teamwork.
Duties:
· Pruning, thinning, weeding, transplanting, moving plants, watering, applications, potting, shipping, and unloading/loading plant material
· Loading and unloading truckloads of plant material
· Writing tickets correctly to correspond with customer’s order
· Keeping the Nursery clear of trash or debris
· Safely operate outdoor equipment, mechanical equipment, and hand tools
· Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures while complying with legal regulation
Minimum Requirements:
· Experience in horticultural or botanical industry preferred but not required
· Consistent effort to expand plant material knowledge
· Must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
· Communicate well with customers and team members
· Consistently aspire to fulfill the company’s core values (Respect, Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, Accountability, Caring, Loyalty, and Trust)
· Attend all scheduled meetings and provide suggestions for improvement
· Clean driving record, drug-free and valid driver’s license
· Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company’s dress code policy
