Registered Dental Hygienist
Job Description:
Dental hygiene position at a small, general dentistry office. Hygiene responsibilities include, but are not limited to: greeting patients, reviewing medical history, maintaining accurate patient dental charting, maintaining accurate periodontal charting, operatory clean-up, breakdown, and set-up, instrument sterilization, instrument sharpening, and any other office tasks deemed necessary to ensure a smooth and streamlined patient experience. Employee’s duties and responsibilities are outlined below, but may include additional tasks that fall under the umbrella of a dental hygienist.
•Greeting patients and visitors
•Operatory set-up and breakdown
•Disinfection procedures for hygiene operatories, equipment, and instruments
•Sterilizing instruments and equipment
•Taking basic dental X-rays
•Operating dental software for charting and treatment planning
•Maintaining organized patient charts and notes
•All chairside dental hygiene duties deemed necessary by dental provider
•Light cleaning and organizing
Hours:
32+/week
Starting Pay:
competitive, +PTO, holiday pay, and 401K.
Minimum Requirements:
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Dental Hygiene Diploma
•Florida State Dental Hygiene Licensure
•Florida Laws and Rules Examination
•National Board of Dental Hygiene Examination
•AHA CPR Certification or equivalent
