OVERVIEW
Taking a surgical technology course can be a great decision for several reasons:
High Demand: Surgical technologists are in high demand, with job growth projected to increase significantly
Quick Entry into the Workforce: Many surgical technology programs can be completed in a relatively short time, often within 12-24 months
Hands-On Experience: The course provides extensive hands-on training, preparing you for real-world surgical environments. You’ll learn to assist surgeons, handle surgical instruments, and ensure patient safety during procedures
Certification Opportunities: Our NCCT Surgical Technology program prepares students to become Tech in Surgery—Certified (TS-C) professionals. The program equips students with the clinical, technical, and safety skills necessary to assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists in the operating room, maintain sterile fields, and provide critical patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The program of instruction is designed to prepare students to successfully sit for and obtain their TS-C credential. NCCT is the National Center for Competency Testing. We are an approved NCCT testing site.
Meaningful Work: As a surgical technologist, you’ll play a crucial role in saving lives and improving patient outcomes. Your work will have a direct impact on the health and well-being of patients
