Welder
Responsibilities:
– Perform fabrication and welding tasks according to project specifications
– Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
– Operate machinery such as overhead cranes, forklifts and hand tools
– Use tools such as calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy
– Follow codes, standards, and safety guidelines during the fabrication process
– Perform basic math calculations to determine measurements and dimensions
– Work with various materials including sheet metal
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
-Completed, or near graduation from welding program
– Proficient in FCAW techniques
– Familiarity with machining processes and equipment
– Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
– Knowledge of codes and standards related to fabrication and welding
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Pay is based on experience, abilities, attitude and attendance.
Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Fridays, additional overtime hours available on some Saturdays
Pay: $19 – $22, depending on weld test and any prior experience; increases provided based on performance, attendance, and initiative.
Minimum Requirements:
Completed Welding program, or are near completed program
