Cable Shop Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cable Shop Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electrical wire harnesses used in various electronic applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment. You will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality production standards are met.
Responsibilities
• Assemble wire harnesses according to specifications and blueprints.
• Read and interpret work instructions, wire lists, parts lists, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, and solder wires and cables using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery safely within the manufacturing facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the assembly process and report them to supervisors.
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Starting Pay: $21 – 24 per hour
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in wire harness or cable assembly a must.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Strong knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Familiarity with aerospace materials, connectors (e.g., MIL-spec), and tooling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Must be able to lift and move materials as required for assembly tasks.
