Job Description:
We’re currently seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic, preferably with diesel experience, to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, heavy trucks, and related equipment. Diesel Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company’s Diesel Fleet trucks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mechanics inspect equipment for damage or failures.
- Perform diagnostics and repair service for equipment component failures.
- Remove and replace damaged or defective components, and operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts, and service trucks.
- Mechanics may also be required to perform basic welds, clean the shop area, and perform stocking functions.
- Will be cross trained to work on cranes and heavy equipment
- Other duties may be assigned.
All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid Driver’s License
- Mechanical experience working with diesel engines, technical school a plus
- Must comply with established safety rules, policies and procedures, including wearing required safety equipment
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
