Are you an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys working with children and creating a positive dental experience for young patients? We are looking for a motivated, compassionate Full-Time Traveling Dental Assistant to support our teams at Valley Ridge Pediatric Dentistry and Weaver & Stratton – Julington Creek.
This is a full-time traveling position between our two locations. Must be comfortable regularly working at both Valley Ridge and our Julington Creek office.
About the Role
- Fridays will be worked at our Julington Creek location
- The schedule may vary based on the needs of both offices
- As Valley Ridge continues to grow, the position is expected to transition to approximately 4 days per week at Valley Ridge
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys variety, works well with different teams, and is comfortable traveling between nearby offices as part of their regular workweek.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures
- Take dental X-rays and prepare materials and treatment areas
- Help provide a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for young patients
- Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with office flow
- Work collaboratively with dental teams at both locations
- Adapt to the workflow and needs of each office
- Provide support at either location as scheduled
Requirements:
- Previous dental assisting experience is required
- Pediatric dental experience is strongly preferred
- Experience taking dental X-rays and assisting during dental procedures
- A genuine interest in working with children and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to work well with different teams and office environments
- Ability and willingness to regularly travel between Valley Ridge and Julington Creek
- Reliable transportation between locations
- Experience with Denticon or similar dental software is a plus
- Pediatric dentistry: 1 year (Required)
- Chairside assisting: 1 year (Required)
