Maintenance Highway Technician 1
• Operate various motorized equipment and hand tools in performing routine
maintenance duties.
• Perform labor-intensive work such as ditch digging, culvert cleaning, and brush and
tree removal.
• Patch potholes and perform other pavement repairs.
• Perform flagging and other traffic control duties as needed.
• Maintain and repair highway shoulders, slopes, and drainage facilities.
• Remove snow and ice using snowplows, spreaders, and other equipment.
• Clean equipment and perform minor maintenance such as checking oil and fluid
levels, changing blades, etc.
• Perform safety checks on equipment before use.
• Complete daily reports and maintenance logs.
• Participate in on-the-job training and attend related workshops or training
programs.
* Schedule:
– Mon – Thur or Tues -Fri. (4) 10’s
– 0700 – 1730 – 30 min. Lunch
* Pay: $ 17.00 – $ 20.00 per. hour
– Bi – Weekly
