Executive Sous Chef
Position Summary:
The Executive Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, staff management, inventory, and sanitation. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen staff and daily operations
- Lead by example in all aspects of food preparation and presentation Develop and execute high-quality, seasonal menus and daily specials Maintain food cost controls and monitor inventory levels Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Train, mentor, and evaluate culinary staff Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction Step in for the Executive Chef as needed
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of culinary experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Proven ability to lead and inspire a team Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred
