Diesel Mechanic Assistant
Besch & Smith Civil Group is a certified underground utility contractor providing civil and site construction services in the Northeast Florida area. Construction services include clearing and grubbing, earthwork, lot grading and building pads, underground utilities, storm drainage, commercial sitework, roadway construction, parking lots, school sites, recreational parks and athletic field construction, roadway rehabilitation, and minor sitework repairs. The company was founded by Nicole E. Besch and Edward D. Smith. Combined they offer over 50 years of experience in the construction industry.
The ideal diesel mechanic assistant candidate will be required to support our experienced diesel mechanic by performing routine vehicle maintenance, assisting with heavy equipment repairs, assisting with diagnostic tasks, maintaining a clean and safe work area, keep accurate service/repair records, and performing basic day to day operations. You may also assist with ordering, organizing, and maintaining the parts inventory. Experience with vehicle maintenance and CAT/John Deere heavy diesel equipment maintenance is required. Reliable work transportation and a clean driving record is also required. Pay is based on experience.
