Line Cook
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. We are a high volume fast paced Mexican Restaurant in the heart of St Augustine. We are looking for someone to work on the grill and Sautee.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes
- Handle food products safely, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques
- Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent food service to guests
- Support dietary department initiatives by accommodating special dietary needs when required
Experience
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
