Maintenance Technician
Job Description:
Upkeep of property including guest rooms, meeting rooms, closets, exterior, landscaping and more. Must have good general knowledge and skills in a variety of areas including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electric, HVAC, electronic locks and more. Must work well and communicate well with others.
Ability to use laptop and electronic devices mandatory.
Must pass background check and medical questionnaire.
What’s the job?
As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the property inside and out, ensuring the location is well kept, in good repair and looking excellent. You will follow all safety procedures and ensure the safety and comfort of hotel guests and team members. You’ll be a master multitasker and be comfortable with any repair needs. You will work alongside the other hotel departments with excellent communication and problem solving tasks to quickly resolve any issues to the best of your ability.
Your day-to-day
People · Manage daily engineering needs, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right tools and parts ready. · Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures · Maintain relations with internal team members and guests, others as needed · Follow-up outstanding points from the latest QA inspection of his/her hotel under the supervision of dept lead and hotel GM |
Guest Experience · Help guests needs to ensure their satisfaction · Use a maintenance programme to ensure the hotel is maintained and in service for our guests Responsible Business · Maintain and order parts and supplies whilst minimizing waste and maintaining “green” initiatives. · May be responsible for hotel security to minimize risk of theft, crime and other hazards · Ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done |
What we need from you
· Skills commensurate with a variety of tasks to include but not limited to electric, plumbing, drywall repair, painting, general carpentry, HVAC. Some college or advanced vocational training not required but does assist |
· Hotel experience preferred · Ability to use variety of tools and electronic devices
