Position: Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures
  • Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
  • Perform expanded functions as per state guidelines and certifications, including placing composite restorations, taking impressions, and performing coronal polishing
  • Assist with front office tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Certification or degree from an accredited dental assistant program
  • Current CPR certification
  • Certification for expanded functions specific to the state (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software
  • Familiarity with digital dental technologies
  • Preferred experience working in a dental office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and anticipatory skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
