LPN – Ambulatory 730am-4pm

Under the supervision of Medical Director, Provider or Nurse Supervisor, the LPN utilizes the nursing process to assist in the provision of ambulatory health care services that reflect the ambulatory health care providers’ philosophy and standard of ambulatory health and nursing care of assigned patients.
Qualifications
Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, and Vocational Training; Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program. 30-hour IV Therapy Course for LPNs, which has been approved by the Florida Board of Nursing pursuant to Rule 64B9-5.006. Necessary Skills: 1. Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team. 2. Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures that affect patient care delivery. Required Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to practice practical nursing in the state of Florida BLS from the American Heart Association Successful completion of a 30-hour IV Therapy Course approved by a Florida Board of Nursing provider pursuant to Rule 64B9-5.006. Crisis Prevention Institute training within ninety (90) days, and then annually, is required for Psych Unit. Required Experience: Less than one (1) year – Training as an LPN. Preferred Experienece: One (1) year of clinical experience.
