Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in hair styling techniques and customer service, with a commitment to providing exceptional experiences for our clients. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Duties
- Provide a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions.
- Utilize knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients.
- Perform advanced techniques such as straight razor cuts and hair threading.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations.
- Utilize salon software, including MINDBODY, for appointment scheduling and client management.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities, including greeting clients and managing retail sales.
- Educate clients on hair care products and services, promoting upselling opportunities.
- Mentor junior stylists and assist in training new team members.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling, makeup application, nail care, and eyelash extensions.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license is required.
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in various techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of retail math to assist in managing inventory and sales performance.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Experience with salon management practices is a plus.
