Pay:
$22–$25/hour – Experienced Welder / Railcar Trainee
For candidates with strong Stick/SMAW welding, fabrication, and oxy-fuel torch skills but limited or no railcar experience.
$26–$30/hour – Experienced Railcar Repairman / Carman
For candidates with proven freight railcar repair experience and knowledge of FRA/AAR requirements who can perform railcar repairs with minimal training.
Job Description:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Stick/SMAW welding and fabrication
- Oxy-fuel torch cutting and washing/removing welds
- Structural and railcar body repairs
- Coupler and draft-system repairs
- Brake and air-system repairs
- Safety-appliance repairs
- Truck and wheel component work
- Inspect railcars and identify defects
- Complete repairs in accordance with FRA/AAR requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong Stick/SMAW welding skills
- Experience welding vertical and horizontal
- Ability to weld thin, weathered, and rusted steel
- Strong oxy-fuel torch cutting skills
- Fabrication experience
- Dependable and able to work efficiently
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather
- Able to perform physically demanding work
This is NOT a MIG-only welding position.
All welding candidates must pass a hands-on Stick welding and torch-cutting test before hire.
Previous railcar experience is a major plus, but we are willing to train an experienced welder who has the right skills and work ethic.
SCHEDULE
Monday–Thursday | Full-Time | 4-Day Workweek
Enjoy a consistent schedule with three-day weekends.

This is an in-person position. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Green Cove Springs.
