Job Description:
First Coast Metalworks is seeking an experienced Stainless TIG Welder to join our growing team. We specialize in precision fabrication, industrial manufacturing, production runs, rapid prototyping, and engineered metal solutions for customers across commercial, industrial, defense, and technology sectors.
This position is ideal for a skilled craftsman who takes pride in producing clean, high-quality welds and polished finishes. The successful candidate will be experienced in stainless steel and aluminum fabrication and capable of delivering work that meets both structural and cosmetic standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG & MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble components to specification
- Polish, blend, and finish stainless steel welds to cosmetic and customer-required finishes
- Grind, sand, and prepare parts for final assembly or delivery
- Operate and work alongside CNC laser and plasma cutting equipment
- Inspect completed work for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy
- Work closely with fabrication, engineering, and production teams
- Assist with prototype, low-volume, and production manufacturing projects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of TIG & MIG welding experience
- Strong experience welding stainless steel (required)
- Experience welding aluminum (required)
- ASME Code experience preferred
- Experience polishing and finishing stainless steel to cosmetic standards
- Ability to produce clean, high-quality visible welds
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Experience with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Familiarity with CNC laser and plasma-cut components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a fabrication shop environment
Requirements:
- Must successfully pass TIG & MIG weld tests
- Must pass a background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
