Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our culinary team in our newly renovated Clubhouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on baking. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods for a la carte dining/banquets, club special events and member takeout orders, while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist Executive Pastry Chef in day to day needs.
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods and breads.
- Decorate cakes and other desserts with artistic flair and precision.
- Ensure all food production meets quality standards and is presented attractively.
- Follow recipes accurately while also being able to adjust ingredients as needed for taste and texture.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to meet production demands and assist in food preparation as needed.
- Stay updated on baking trends and techniques to continually improve skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking or culinary arts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Knowledgeable in recipe development.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and knives safely and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
- A creative mindset with a passion for baking and creating delicious products.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in all baked goods.
- Current Certifications in Food Handlers and Servsafe required.
