Morning baker/ creative sandwich maker
Job Overview
We are seeking 1 morning baker/Sandwich Maker to join our shop. You will assist with producing & baking handcrafted breads & pastries as well as making/creating innovative breakfast/lunch sandwiches. Other responsibilities will include helping the FOH set up while being a part of the open kitchen and potentially interacting with guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including slicing ingredients, baking bread, and preparing sauces.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Package sandwiches for takeout orders with attention to presentation and quality.
- Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Skills
- Strong food preparation skills with experience in a kitchen environment.
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools, including knives and cooking equipment.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to sandwich making, baking, and pastry preparation is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Attention to detail in food presentation and packaging.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
