Welders/Carman
Star Railroad is looking to hire welders/carman for our railcar repair shop. We do railcar repair work from heavy wrecks to light maintenance cars.
Entry level to experienced carman openings.
Qualification:
1. Basic welding procedure and able to pass a visual test for entry level jobs.
2. Basic torch use from lighting to cutting holes and shapes to apply to car.
3. Metal working skills straighten metal and following simple instructions.
4. Able to lift 50Lbs and walk with it a short distance.
6. Willing to learn switching procedures for in house car movement of railcars to work stations.
7. Willing to learn and follow A.A.R. and F.R.A. rules and guide lines for nationwide car repair.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
