Thank you for choosing FCTC for your education! Please follow the checklist below, which will guide you through the Financial Aid application process.
The first step to obtaining financial aid at First Coast Technical College is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. For more detailed instructions on completing the form, visit the Federal Student Aid website. There you will find detailed instructions, FAQs, and videos to aid you through the application process.
Please read this information carefully to ensure your application is not delayed. We know that applying for financial aid can be very confusing. Step by step instructions on how to apply are contained in the instructions & forms packet (link below). If you have any questions after reading the packet, please email or call the Financial Aid Office.
Financial aid is awarded based on the Student Aid Index (SAI) number, as determined by the Federal Department of Education (DOE). Your SAI is calculated when you do the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Applications are selected for verification by the DOE, as well as being subject to verification at the discretion of the FCTC Financial Aid Office.
You can explore several online resources here that will help you understand the application process.
You should submit your paperwork at least 3 weeks before your entry date. Failure to turn in the required income documentation and/or submitting incomplete forms will delay your admission to class. FCTC cannot approve your aid without all of the correct information.
