Step 1            Meet with a Student Advisor…904-547-3378 or 904-547-3379

During this visit, you will explore program goals, start dates, necessary paperwork such as Florida residency, and verify if you need any assessments. Health and Public Safety programs require additional forms to complete the admissions process.

Step 2            Apply for Financial Aid

Complete the FAFSA application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. First Coast Technical College’s school code is 012544. If you have questions, contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243. Financial aid approval can take up to 3-5 business days, then call the Financial Aid office at 904-547-3512 to verify everything is complete.

Step 3            Reconnect with a Student Advisor

Meet with a Student Advisor to discuss the criteria for assessments and exemptions and to learn of any associated fees. Prospective students may be exempt from assessments established by the State of Florida Department of Education for Career and Technical programs.  Be sure to bring a valid photo ID to your assessment session.

Discuss the results of your assessments, determine your class options, and ensure you have all required documentation to register for class.

Step 4            Register for classes!
