Medical Assistant
Job Description:
We’re on the looking for individuals who embody friendliness, positivity, and self-motivation. Your role will involve a diverse set of responsibilities including:
• Assisting in rooming patients and accurately inputting their vitals into our EMR system.
• Ensuring that examination rooms are impeccably clean and fully stocked before, during, and after clinic hours.
• Exhibiting excellent communication skills both on the phone and in written messages to providers and other staff members.
• Demonstrating exceptional communication abilities with patients, both in-person and over the phone, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
• Providing valuable assistance to physicians during exams and office procedures.
• Skillfully obtaining prior authorizations for medications and specific tests, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Managing the closure of referrals, both incoming and outgoing, with efficiency and attention to detail.
• Being prepared to cross-cover as necessary with other nursing staff and the front desk team, promoting a collaborative work environment.
• Possessing accurate knowledge and proficiency in administering therapeutic injections, immunizations, and conducting certain in-house lab tests.
Hours:
M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm
Starting Pay:
$17.00
Minimum Requirements:
Certified or registered Medical Assistant
